The Bunkhouse was built in 1912 to house loggers and mill workers in the Ashford Valley. Renovated in 1990 by Lou and Ingrid Whittaker, Whittaker's Bunkhouse offers lodging in 18 cozy rooms with private baths, or for those seeking a more Hostel-like environment, the Bunk Room sleeps up to 6 people with shared bathroom and shower.
Whittaker's Bunkhouse is located in "downtown" Ashford, a tiny community in the Nisqually Valley. Enjoy the rustic charm of a former logging town with a panoramic view of the foothills of the majestic Mount Rainier, all within walking distance of shops, restaurants, post office and a local Pub. Rainier Mountaineering Inc. is also based next door at the Summit Haus.

Policies/Cancellation Policy:
*Deposit Requirements:
First nights stay due within 7 days of booking confirmation. This will be charged to the credit card provided when booking.
*Cancellations:
*Whittaker's Bunkhouse has a standard 14-day cancellation policy. If you must cancel within the cancellation period, you will be responsible for the room nights. We will make every effort to re-book the room, and if successful, you will not be charged for those nights. Cancellations outside the 14-day policy will be subjected to a $25.00 processing fee.
*All rooms are non-smoking and we do regret that we do not allow pets.
* A Visa, Mastercard, or American Express number will be taken at time of reservations.
*We reserve the right to charge a damage, cleaning, and smoking deposit subject to the amount of stay and evict violators of policies without refund, and to require a minimum stay other than stated above on any property anytime.
