| Oct 11 Nov 9 | Free-Roaming Area Keeper Tour Get up close and personal with bison, moose, caribou and more during a morning ride on the wild side. Hop into the back of the keeper truck and experience the thrill of having these incredible animals only an arm's-length away as the keeper makes his rounds feeding the animals! Ends with a continental breakfast. Menu* includes danish pastries, donuts, cold cereal, fresh fruit, bagels with cream cheese and hot and cold beverages. SPECIAL NOTE: It does get cold in the back of the keeper truck so please come dressed appropriately. | Oct 24-25 | Hoot 'n' Howl at Northwest Trek It's all treat and no trick at Northwest Trek's Hoot 'n' Howl. This is one of the very few times the park is open to the public at night and it is a great chance to see our animals' nocturnal behavior. Games, crafts and lots of non-scary fun keep the family busy throughout the lighted trails of the park. And there are yummy treats to eat as well. For a reduced price and to ensure your space, make reservations by 4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19. Passengers will be served Christmas cookies, cider and hot chocolate. Santa Claus will board the train at the area known as Divide, where passengers will have an opportunity to visit "Santa's car" and we give our little passengers a gift from Santa. The "Snowball Express" will depart from Mineral, WA and make its way along mountain streams, usually covered by snow this time of year. During the ride, carolers will sing and lead traditional holiday songs. These trains will sell out! Please make reservations as soon as possible.
