Take Your Family for a Steam Train Ride

The season officially begins for Steam Train excursions into the foothills of Mt. Rainier. The train departs from our Mineral, WA restoration facility on a run past Divide, WA to the largest trestle on the line. This is an 18 mile round trip, and takes approximately 2 to 2-1/2 hours. During the ride you'll travel through forests and past the historic logging town of Mineral. You'll cross several small trestles over mountain streams, a large trestle over the Tilton River, and the highlight of the trip, a huge curved wooden trestle near milepost 59. At Divide you'll have a view of Storm King Mountain. The engine will move to the other end of the train, then continue the trip to the big trestle. Saturday and Sunday trips are scheduled to be powered by one of our steam locomotives.

Sundays, Departures at 2:00 PM.

Costs: $15-$20 per person, Children under 3 free
