Snowplay Area at Paradise, Mt. Rainier National Park: Sledding & Inner Tubing

• Where: The snowplay area is located north of the upper parking lot at Paradise
• When: The snowplay area opens mid-December once five feet of snow is on the ground. It closes each year near the end of March.
• What: "Soft" sliding devices such as flexible sleds, inner tubes, and saucers are allowed. No hard toboggans or runner sleds.

For those who see the snow and feel the need for speed, this is the one place in the park where sleds are welcome - and expected! Squeals and laughter fill the air as people of all ages have a blast careening down the hill.
